Allen has shown his return to the football field on several big plays in the first three games and has 4 catches for 141 yards and a touchdown this season.

Allen is believed to have suffered a torn ACL on a non-contact play while covering a punt against the Cornhuskers. He looked poised to be a major contributor for OR this season after a strong Week 2 performance, catching four passes for 141 yards and a touchdown.
Allen, who finished fifth in the final of the 110m hurdles at last month’s Rio Games, is reported to have suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament.
Devon Allen just heard the three words no athlete ever wants to hear: season-ending injury. His top end sprinting speed have the OR offense an opportunity to lengthen the field in the pass game.
Allen, who made the US Olympic team and competed in Brazil as a hurdler this summer, tore up his other knee two years ago in the Ducks’ Rose Bowl win over FSU.
Football is no longer the sport with which Devon Allen is most associated, but his gridiron career could very well be in jeopardy after the events of Saturday. He rehabbed that injury to return for the 2016 OR track season, which led into his Olympic bid. He was the top qualifier in the 110-meter hurdles at the USA trials before finishing in fifth place in Rio de Janeiro.
