Donald Trump to tour Flint Wednesday

Maybe it’s good the debate is slated for a gym. They are solid citizens respected by those who don’t plan to vote for Trump.

Clinton, of course, had to leave a 9/11 commemoration in NY early last Sunday, suffering from dehydration and a case of pneumonia. She had to cancel three days of campaigning because of the diagnosis.

But the speech certainly did not have the boisterous feeling of a Trump campaign rally, where the audience frequently interrupts with chants of “Lock Her Up!” or other insults towards Trump’s opponent, Hillary Clinton. In a democracy, the president’s health is not a taboo topic nor a matter of national security. And after a high-profile health scare, the campaign admitted Sunday that they’d mishandled the disclosure of her recent pneumonia diagnosis.

If the political furor over Clinton’s pneumonia lingers longer than the illness – which should clear up in a few weeks – that would be a sharp break with history.

“It’s not what the American people are talking about, it really isn’t”, he said.

The National Jewish Democratic Council offered a statement as well, calling Trump Jr.’s remarks unsurprising, but “outrageous” and largely problematic.

Trump acknowledged that some of his health advantages were inherited. He plays golf with Tom Brady “and when I’m with him I feel the same age as him”, Trump boasted. A parade of Clinton allies this summer began offering, unsolicited, to pronounce Trump a pathological narcissist. He is not proposing a pathway to legal status for people living in the country illegally but has backed away from his call for the mass deportation of millions of people who have not committed crimes beyond their immigration offenses. Without the media, this wouldn’t even be a contest, but the media has built her up.

Clinton advisers say their data show no fundamental shift in the public’s perception of Trump, despite preference polls that are tightening nationally and in some battleground states. “It’s a lot of work”, Trump insisted, demonstrating to Oz how he moves his arms when speaking on the campaign trail.

“I have said Donald Trump has run a deplorable campaign”, Clinton said in a radio interview with Tom Joyner that aired September 15, her first day back on the campaign trail since she revealed she had pneumonia on September 11.

In Washington, Trump’s vice presidential running mate, Indiana Governor Mike Pence, used Clinton’s comment to try to build more unity among Republicans, appearing at a news conference with Paul Ryan, the speaker of the House of Representatives, the top USA elected Republican. It is to have them supply their medical histories and submit to a thorough examination by an independent panel of doctors from areas such as internal medicine, oncology, geriatrics, psychiatry and neurology.

The 2016 presidential election has been unusual in many ways, but never have two more unpopular candidates represented the major parties.

The revelations come after his own doctor Harold Bornstein described the candidate as: “the healthiest individual ever elected to presidency”. Trump wished Hillary Clinton well at the broadcast’s start and generally adhered to Oz’s request that he not attack anyone, except for a Bob Hope-style groaner about how much golf the current president plays, which the audience applauded.
