Space Ghost Coast To Coast

Croker was best known for animating CN’s late night show “Space Ghost Coast to Coast” and for voicing the characters Zorak and Moltar.

Born in Atlanta, Georgia, Croker began working for Turner Broadcasting in the early 1990s, animating promos for the “TNT Toons” Hanna-Barbera block, going on to design and animate bumpers for Cartoon Network during its 1998 rebranding. Among them is the one featuring musical guests Pavement and “Knifin’ Around“, the episode where Space Ghost steals Radiohead’s music in front of Thom Yorke and gets married to Björk.

The man who brought two of the most iconic characters in Space Ghost: Coast to Coast to life – C. Martin Croker – has passed away at the age of 54.

The Cartoon Network show is a cult classic that was made even better by Croker, who provided the voices of Zorak and Moltar. “Hosted” by the Space Ghost, the show saw the hero’s roster of enemies forced to serve as on-air sidekicks as punishment for their crimes. He would continue to voice Zorak and Moltar along with other voices on Space Ghost-related productions through 2014. Other voice acting credits include the Cartoon Network series Sunday Pants and Perfect Hair Forever. At the moment, Adult Swim is now offering every single Space Ghost: Coast to Coast episode (that don’t have some sort of rights issue) to watch for free on its website in Croker’s honor.
