Because the Vols are set to be very limited on the special teams game, Jones said “youngsters will need to step up”. Jones said he’ll know more about Hall’s status after practice Monday and Tuesday.
Sutton, a senior defensive back and captain on the team, has started all 41 games in which he has played in his Tennessee career. Sutton went down early in the first quarter on Saturday against OH and tried to return, but was shut down by the trainers.
Our sister station WBIR reports Jones confirmed Monday that Cam Sutton suffered a fractured ankle and will be out for an extended time and Quarte Sapp’s season is over because of an ACL injury. Reeves-Maybin left the OH game with a shoulder injury, while Hall has been sidelined since mid-August following knee surgery.
This will mark Georgia’s first game of the season on CBS.
“I feel for him and his family”, Jones said after Saturday’s 28-19 win.

Linebacker LaTroy Lewis, who missed the OH game with an ankle injury, could return this week, Jones said.
