No one was injured. Investigators scrambled Sunday to find out wh.

It roughly coincided with an appearance by Mayor Bill de Blasio at 7.30am (9:30pm AEST) on CNN, where he announced the name of the suspect and shared a photograph released by the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
An FBI Bomb Squad arrived on scene and a robot was sent to examine the devices.
Ahmad Khan Rahami is taken into custody after a shootout with police September 19 in Linden, N.J.
The man arrested by authorities Monday in connection with bombings in NY and New Jersey is named Ahmad Khan Rahami, 28, a USA citizen who was born in Afghanistan, according to authorities.
A bloodied Rahami was loaded into the back of an ambulance, just 50 hours after the first blast that started it all.
When a responding officer approached the man, the man raised his head, and the officer recognized him as Rahami, Capt. James Sarnicki of the Linden Police Department said.
Authorities closed in on Rahami after a fingerprint and DNA taken from one of the NY sites and “clear as day” CCTV footage from the bombing scene helped identify him, law enforcement sources told the Associated Press. No one was injured.
At least 29 people were injured in an explosion in the Chelsea neighborhood of New York City Sept. 17.
Cuomo, touring the site of Saturday’s blast in Chelsea, said the unexploded pressure cooker device appeared “similar in design” to the bomb that exploded in Chelsea.
On Sunday, five people with possible links to the devices were taken into custody following the discovery of multiple pipe bombs in a garbage can at a New Jersey rail station.
Rahami then reportedly opened fire on the officer and two officers were wounded by the time shooting ended.
The backpack was found in a wastebasket in Elizabeth, New Jersey, outside a neighborhood pub and located about 500 feet from a train trestle, said the city’s mayor Chris Bollwage.
The reason for the trip and its full impact on Rahami was not immediately known, but Jones said Rahami became more serious and quiet.
There is no evidence that Rahami’s family knew of the attack or in any way aided Ahmad’s alleged crimes. The man was a naturalised USA citizen of Afghan descent who had travelled to Pakistan and Afghanistan multiple times in the last five years.
Born in Afghanistan, The New York Times is describing Rahami as a “naturalized citizen”.
Other devices have been found or have exploded in New Jersey over the past few days.
Five people were pulled over on Sunday night travelling in a auto associated with Rahami, but were questioned and released.
NYPD and federal law enforcement officials released the identity and photograph of Rahami on Monday morning.
“We can’t say if they played a role”, Boyce said.
Linden Mayor Derek Armstead said the suspect was found by a bar owner sleeping in his hallway.
“He looked like a bum”, Mazza said.
Vince Uvari, 70, who lives two streets away, said: “I heard the shots and I saw the police”. More officers joined in a gun battle that spilled into the street.
Police have connected the New York City and New Jersey shore town bombings and say the same man is being sought for questioning in both.
He also told reporters that the government is focusing on the stabbing attack in the mall in Minnesota Saturday and reiterated the belief that there is no connection between that incident and the NY and New Jersey bombings, but it is also being investigated as an act of terrorism.
Terror attacks are increasingly global, but NY is a target and authorities and locals should always be in a state of readiness, Cuomo told reporters Monday at Penn Station, where he met with first responders. The Islamic State group claimed responsibility. The organization and the Afghan Embassy in Washington condemned the bombings.
Speaking to the media before the arrest was made, Mrs Clinton said Mr Trump’s rhetoric was being seized on by terrorists looking to create the impression of a war on Islam, as opposed to a war against jihadists or terrorists. An AP reporter went to the building that houses the family’s restaurant and home, but it was cordoned off.
The restaurant, First American Fried Chicken, is owned by Rahami’s father and has also employed some of his brothers, Elizabeth Mayor Christian Bollwage said.
The lawsuit was filed in 2011 and reveals that Ahmad has a long history of grievances with city officials, their local police force and people who lived close to them.
The lawsuit was terminated in 2012 after Mohammad Rahami pleaded guilty to blocking police from enforcing the restriction.
Elizabeth resident Ryan McCann said he often ate at the restaurant and had recently begun seeing the younger Rahami working there more.
“He’s always in there”.
