According to the Army spokesman, they were arrested riding on horseback and bicycle shepherding some sheep towards a market.
His counsel, Mr Femi Falana, reportedly said yesterday that he was denied access to his client, Salkida.
The journalist was accused of aiding Boko Haram. The military also made concerted efforts to rescue them.
Salkida was wanted by the Nigerian army after the release of a video showing some of the schoolgirls abducted from a school and in Boko Haram custody.
Salkida, Aisha Waliki and Ahmed Bolori were sought by authorities for their alleged links to Boko Haram. “However, he admitted to receiving two video clips from Boko Haram before they were released to the public”, the website reported.
