But there they stood, down only three points to the Denver Broncos early in the fourth quarter.

Broncos cornerback Aqib Talib has demonstrated a knack for turning interceptions into touchdowns over the course of his career.
During the fourth quarter of Indy’s game in Denver, Talib made one of the best defensive plays of the day when he jumped in front of a Luck pass on a third-and-15 for the Colts.
The Broncos are now 2-0 on the year and will head on the road for the first time next week to face the Bengals in Cincinnati.

Indianapolis trailed 16-13 when it got the ball back at its own 28 with 1:09 to play in the period.
“That’s a very, very good defense”, Luck said.
Indianapolis will get the ball to start the third quarter.
“I know Andrew would love to have it back, we’d all love to have it back, but you have to take care of the football in that situation”, Colts coach Chuck Pagano said. Denver (2-0) limited the Colts’ high-powered offense to just 72 yards in the first half and held Luck to a quarterback rating of just 64.3 one week after he played one of his most efficient games in a loss to Detroit.
If he is unable to return, it would be absolutely devastating to the Colts.
He didn’t attempt a pass on the series because Broncos linebacker Von Miller blew by right tackle Joe Reitz to get a strip-sack on Luck, who never saw Miller coming. You’ve gotta give a lot of credit to them.

The Colts came into the game without cornerbacks Vontae Davis (ankle) and Patrick Robinson (concussion) as well as safety T.J. Green (knee). That was their lowest first-half total since they gained 73 yards against Arizona in the 2013 season. “We didn’t make the plays when it counted though”. “It’s too hard to overcome”.
