‘Gotham’ season 3, episode 1 review: Chaos and the Court of Owls
Fish leading the Indian Hill escapees was no great reveal, but Selina Kyle (Camren Bicondova) tagging along for who-the-hell-knows-why felt like a subtle character moment for the future Catwoman.

The Season 3 premiere of Gotham will be taking place on Monday night. The girl gravitates to whomever is the current HBIC.
Doppel-Bruce is stalking in the shadows for most of this premiere, only coming out once to chat with Ivy after having seen the aforementioned conversation between Bruce and Selina.
Ben McKenzie: “This year, we see the monsters unleash on the city of Gotham”. Their plan isn’t ready and they need to buy some time. The series also will catch up with the future POISON IVY (Maggie Geha), who, after an encounter with a monster from Indian Hill, finds herself reborn as a young woman who’s harnessed the full power of her charms; and will dive into the origin stories of JERVIS TETCH/MAD HATTER (Benedict Samuel), a talented hypnotist teetering on the edge of madness; and the TWEED BROTHERS.
Okay, boo. You do you. He confronted the Wayne Enterprises Board of Directors with his findings-knowing that members of the group were in that very room-and threatened them to come forward or else he would release his evidence to the public. More of that. Less of the clone. “Meanwhile, Bruce’s (David Mazouz) doppelganger roams the streets, and Barbara and Tabitha open a new nightclub”. Yes, yes it is. I think you know the answer!
Overall the episode was good, but not mind blowing. For example, the first episode we’re going to be outside of Gotham. Can’t wait for more!
Irrespective of what we have talked so far, the title doesn’t seem to refer her in the context.
This week on Gotham: Jim, unsuccessful on his journey to Leslie, is now a bounty hunter, bringing in escaped Indian Hill patients for cash.
Best part – we get to meet mom, too. I get that. I get not wanting to deal with that. Gordon is a more effective ally than the cops in that regard, or at least that’s what Barnes and the mayor are trying to downplay in front of the press. Of course, any truce is bound to be short lived in Gotham, and it’s just a matter of time before there is another power play. Then it gave us not-quite-Batman-but-obviously-training-to-be-Batman Bruce, which was better (much better, in fact!) only to ditch it at the end of last season because Gotham doesn’t believe in letting us have nice things. The dynamic between her and Gordon is going to feel completely different from the dynamic between Lee and Gordon last season. The long summer has finally ended and Gotham is back on our TV screens, ensuring all is right in the world. At this point in a series’ lifespan, we should be comfy-cozy, not perpetually expecting the worst.
– Nygma and Penguin being murder besties will never stop being flawless. Nygma reminds Penguin that he shouldn’t be afraid of Mooney because, “Penguins eat fish”.
– Ivy got zapped with the fountain of aging guy and then tossed into what is probably toxic Gotham sludge.

She’ll be back very, very soon.
