All 10 have been released from the hospital, St. Cloud authorities said. And I do say potential.

“This community does not condone terrorism, does not support terrorism and if anyone is claiming us, we are not claiming anybody with such beliefs”. One student had said Somali-Americans were called Islamic State members and had their headscarves pulled off, and a photo posted on social media of a Somali-American student who was using a wheelchair after breaking her leg with a caption that said she was “disabled in ISIS”.

However, in spite of claims by Isis that Adan was a supporter of the terror group, the authorities said they had found no evidence to that effect.

The speed with which IS weighed in may also say something about a competition for recruits between the Middle East-based IS and the east Africa-based militant group al-Shabab, which has recruited Somali-Americans from Minnesota with some success in recent years. He was there to buy a gift for his daughter, but ended up stopping a man who stabbed 10 people from hurting anyone else. Three of the victims remain hospitalized with injuries that aren’t considered life-threatening. His father, speaking through an interpreter, told the Minneapolis Star Tribune that he was 22, but court records and a driver’s license database showed his age as 20. “You know what I mean, just to kind of let it simmer down a little bit”, said Gove. But he realized the situation was serious when the man “just walked right at me”. Yusuf said Adan seemed happy when left the home, which was the last time his parents saw him.

“In my opinion, with his training and abilities, he was the right person, in the right place, at the right time”, Avon Police Chief Corey Nellis said, according to the St. Cloud Times.

According to a report from Bearing Arms, in addition to being a part-time police officer, Falconer is also a tactical weapons trainer, a competition shooter and the CEO of Tactical Advantage, a gun shop, range and firearm training center.

Since Falconer has not been on the police schedule for some time, he has not been put on administrative leave.

The FBI is investigating the Saturday attack in the city of St. Cloud as a potential act of terrorism.

Falconer was not at the news conference.

“He asked at least one person if they were Muslim”, St Cloud Police Chief Blair Anderson told a news conference.

Gov. Mark Dayton said at a Monday news conference said the state will help however it can and asked citizens of St. Cloud and the state to “rise above” the incident.

“If it happens in St. Cloud, it could happen in Fargo”, Mayor Tim Mahoney said. He shot him more than three times, since Adan continued to get up and engage Falconer.

Authorities had initially reported that nine people were attacked. They believe that’s where the suspect lived. “We can do better than this St. Cloud”.

Police have surveillance video of the suspect being killed in Macy’s, they are still gathering video from other stores as part of the investigation.

Officers from St. Cloud, Waite Park, Cold Spring and the Minnesota State Patrol, as well as Gold Cross ambulance and St. Cloud Fire Department crews were on the scene. He says all people are brothers and equal regardless of their religion.

The mall reopened Monday after being closed Sunday.

President Barack Obama said the stabbings had no apparent connection to weekend bombings in NY and New Jersey.

Authorities are treating Saturday’s stabbings at Crossroads Center Mall as a possible act of terrorism, in part because an Islamic State-run news agency claimed that the attacker was a “soldier of the Islamic State” who had heeded the group’s calls for attacks in countries that are part of a US -led anti-IS coalition. He praised Falconer saying, “He clearly prevented additional injuries and potentially loss of life”.

Dayton says the president told him to convey his “deep appreciation” for the work of investigators and the police officer who stopped the attacker.
