IOS 10 adoption off to an impressive start despite early snag

From bricked phones to redesigned emojis, some Apple device owners have taken to social media to vent their frustrations after upgrading – or trying to upgrade – their iPhones, iPads and iPods to iOS 10. However, while the early consensus is that it’s a great improvement upon the previous iOS, some users have still reported some pretty major problems that have even led to the update bricking their iPhone or iPad. The Apple Music has been redesigned by the iOS 10 and according to Forbes, it has become brighter and bigger. That percentage should also continue to grow pretty rapidly this weekend once the new iPhones arrive and more people have time to update the software on their current devices. A few hours ago however, Legere confirmed that Apple has fixed the issue, and that the iOS 10 update is now safe to install.

The instructions break down how to restore your iPhone through iTunes by using recovery mode. If you don’t have a computer to connect it to, you’ll have to borrow one from a pal, or get down to an Apple store where they’ll do it for you.

Once you’ve done this you should now see the “Download iOS 10 option”.

Despite the problems with rollout, users are still updating quickly.

Apple recommends you backup your device before attempting to install.
