Soon to be released movie Phantom has been banned nationally in Pakistan due to the complaints registered by JuD chief Hafiz Saeed, who alleges that the movie spreads negative propaganda against him and his associates.

Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) is banned in Pakistan but tolerated unofficially.
Speaking to NDTV, Saif Ali Khan said, “I was quite shocked to hear it has been banned without their censorship process on petition of a wanted terrorist”.
“It is absurd to say that (Saeed) is linked to the attacks in Mumbai“, lawyer A.K. Dogar told The Associated Press.
Hafiz Saeed, is believed to be the mastermind behind the Mumbai blasts of 26/11. Saeed denies having any links with the militancy now.
Yahya Mujahid, a spokesperson for Saeed and Jamaat-ud-Dawa, applauded the court’s ruling.
“Phantom” will be released in India on August 28. He’ll argue his case before a Lahore court on Thursday.
Despite a wealth of evidence against the LeT for its role in the Mumbai attacks, Saeed travels freely around the country, railing against India.
After completing his polygraph test in the national capital, which continued for 10 hours with a medical break in between, Naved, who is in his early 20s and hails from Faisalabad area of Pakistan, was brought in a special plane to J&K yesterday. A suspected Pakistani spy service contact for the group, known as “Major Iqbal”, also has yet to be identified or captured.
The actress says that the ban of the film didnt take her by surprise, just like her co-star Saif Ali Khan.
