Game Recap: Minnesota Vikings vs Green Bay Packers
Mike Zimmer met with the media on Monday afternoon following the Vikings’ 17-14 win over the Packers Sunday night. There’s a reason Zimmer hasn’t ruled his running back out for Sunday’s game and that’s because Peterson is a physical freak of nature.

Adrian Peterson left U.S. Bank Stadium on crutches with a torn meniscus.
The Minnesota Vikings lost their starting quarterback Teddy Bridgewater for the season last month after he suffered a dislocated knee and a torn anterior cruciate ligament during a non-contact drill at practice. Even if Peterson suffered a minor knee injury, National Football League head team doctor David Chao believes the running back will miss two weeks in a best-case scenario. The Vikings gave no timetable for Peterson’s return.
Regardless, whenever he returns, it wouldn’t be much of a surprise if his production is limited.
After Peterson suffered a right knee injury, he was helped off the field by medical staff and had to hobble his way through a series of restaurants before reaching his destination.
Just one potential hiccup: the fans were so rowdy, and the new building so resonant, that the Vikings offense had trouble hearing the the snap count.
“They still gotta come to our place this season and hopefully we’re in a position to play for something then”, Rodgers said in the locker room. “The next man up has got to step up and the coaches have trust in Jerick (McKinnon) and I to fill in for Adrian, and we are going to do that”.
McCarthy said if surgery is needed, it might be just to trim the meniscus. Sunday was a revenge game for the Packers and everything was falling right into their hands.
Sunday night’s 17-14 loss to the Minnesota Vikings was a reoccurring nightmare for Rodgers. But for as bad as it was for the Vikings, it was likely even louder on the Packers sideline, thanks to the shape of the ceiling in the stadium which funnels sound to the visitor’s sideline. He had nine catches for 182 yards and one touchdown. “There’s a lot of times where we can’t hear the centre. We got a good surge up front”, Robison said. But Zimmer was optimistic after the game, saying Peterson, “might miss a week” only. Andrew Sendejo recovered the ball for the Vikings inside the Packers 20 yard line, but coughed the ball back up to the Packers’ Randall Cobb.

Asiata and McKinnon saw significant playing time in 2014 when Peterson was deactivated from the team after being indicted in a child abuse case. Cam Newton completed 24 of 40 passes for 353 yards and four touchdowns against one interception.
