See The First Images Of Tim Tebow As A New York Met
The 29-year-old Tebow was wearing jersey No. 15, the same number he wore as a quarterback at the University of Florida and in the National Football League with the Denver Broncos and New York Jets.

Maybe he would simply walk on water?
It’s the same color scheme he wore as a national champion and Heisman Trophy victor at Florida, and the same number he wore with the Gators and throughout his less-than-storied years as an NFL quarterback. He hasn’t played baseball competitively since high school and is entering at an age when he’ll have little developmental time. “I’m just here to put in the work”, said Tebow. But they said it was pretty interesting. Tebow hit the center-field wall twice with drives.
“Figuring out, what do I take out?” Do you bring a helmet?
Not only was Tebow trending on Twitter for the majority of the day, but approximately 400 fans and 70 media outlets went to see him in action.
Tebow is on his way for the three-week instructional league at Tradition Field in Florida.
Port St. Lucie is in the heart of Florida Gators country, less than 250 miles south from Gainesville.
And that was after the team reached the World Series.
It’s the same color scheme he wore as a national champion and Heisman Trophy victor at Florida. And that’s while Tebow was still on campus. A news helicopter circled over the field where Tebow worked for more than an hour.
Tebow’s latest quest – to become a major-league baseball player – officially began on a sweltering morning at a place about a million miles from the majors.
There were some negatives – during catch (yes, catch) he threw the ball over his partner’s head … and the fence. As overblown as Tebow’s pursuit might seem, I don’t see why people are bothered by it.

You’ve got your barbecue fired up, and you’ve called everyone you know to come over. I want to prove the Mets organization and the coaches here right, and try to be the best baseball player and person that I can. It’s a dream for me and blessing to be able to pursue that. I’m excited about the journey, the challenge, the difficulties, all of it.
