Trump Jr. likens Syrian refugees to Skittles
The son of Republican presidential nominee took to Twitter Monday night to comment on the complex Syrian refugee crisis and it caused a social media storm.

A tweet from Donald Trump, Jr. reads, “If I had a bowl of skittles [sic] and I told you just three would kill you”. Singer John Legend took a jab a Trump Jr.in a series of tweets.
As Americans may remember, this is not the first time the colorful sweets were thrust into the national spotlight over a serious, political debate. At worst, well, let’s let some Internet responses explain it.
And it appears the graphic’s language wasn’t a Trump Jr. original, but instead that of former Illinois Rep. Joe Walsh, a former tea party congressman from Illinois and now a conservative talk radio host. A photo of Skittles accompanied the question. Get rid of everyone now! “This is not a Skittle”, he said.

Some people made a decision to take a moment to think of the poor people at Skittles who were probably being inundated with requests from journalists. It’s an inappropriate analogy. “We will respectfully refrain from further commentary as anything we say could be misinterpreted as marketing”. “It’s a very different system – there’s nothing fair about it”.
