Tonight’s main fight for UFC 203 pits one of the heavyweight division’s newest contenders against one of the most experienced veterans in the division.
Elsewhere on the Main Card, Fabricio Werdum defeated Travis Browne by unanimous decision after three explosive five-minute rounds.
So, how are payouts determined?
Miocic may have done his city proud, but he was unfortunately the only OH fighter to come away with a victory.
In a bantamweight (135 pounds) bout, Urijah Faber faces Jimmie Rivera, Faber’s first fight since he lost the UFC bantamweight title to Dominick Cruz.

Miocic found himself in trouble early in the fight, taking a punch to the chin that knocked him off his feet.
Miocic had wobbled Overeem and it looked like he might secure the finish, but Overeem responded with some big shots of his own, and a huge knee to the body. The second-most accurate fighter in UFC history, Trevor Smith, has landed 63 percent of his strikes. Fortunately, I was training really, really hard for this fight because I didn’t have a moment to stop.
Stipe and his opponent Alistair Overeem were professional on stage but another local fighter, Jennifer Eye got into a scuffle with her opponent.
Miocic wanting some time off but being willing to fight anybody: “Listen, when they want me to fight, I’m going to fight”.
Overeem is supremely confident but isn’t underestimating Miocic, a man he called a risky fighter who is champion for a reason. Werdum came out throwing wild kicks, but action was mostly non-existent throughout the fight.
Overeem has reason to be confident as he’s one of the most experienced fighters competing in MMA today. I got married and all that. I followed him, I got him in a guillotine choke and I clearly felt a tap.

Miocic’s right hand has done the majority of the work to get him to where he is now.
