Amazon Flex: Secret New Delivery Service Set to Launch
Amazon Flex has arrived in Kirkland, Washington, but what does that mean?

However, that is not the case. GeekWire reported that it has discovered confidential new Amazon facility that’s getting ready to launch Prime Now one-hour delivery in the Seattle area, as well as a completely new service called “Amazon Flex”.
It is not fully declared but a recent news by time.com states that, “Amazon has not yet officially announced its new “Flex” service, but a sign at the location gives a hint as to what it may be”. Please look for your number on the top corner of the wall on your left. Instead, customers can pick up packages at a designated Flex spot. Behind the group of people are visual guides indicating how a person should dress possibly to remind delivery people how to show up when making deliveries.
The Kirkland facility is also planning to launch Amazon’s same-day delivery service Prime Now in the Seattle and Portland areas.
Amazon already provides a self-pickup service via Amazon Lockers, but it is still dependent on a courier delivering the items, has shipping rates, and all goods have size and weight limits; issues that collecting a package from the source would avoid. Amazon has also been exploring other package delivery options recently, such as delivering parcels via public transportation.
It’s still unclear how Amazon Flex relates to the company’s plans for Prime Now. While the retail giant has not yet confirmed any details, loyal Prime Now members will surely make use of the company’s first-ever expansion to allow home deliveries for alcoholic beverages in the US, helping the company bring in a larger target audience and boost its user-base even further.
