In another incident Friday night in Fort Worth, Texas, two police officers were shot and injured. “There are some issues that were going on there – to go down and so violently fire upon so many different people who basically have no issue with you and didn’t have any encounters with previously”. “It was more about himself than who he wanted to harm”.

The bystanders in the auto, a man and a woman, were both hospitalized before the woman in her 20s was pronounced dead, The Inquirer reported.

Officials are still investigating whether or not Glenn was a part of or inspired by outside groups. Glenn was armed with a Ruger pistol with the serial numbers scratched off. As the suspect fled, Commissioner Ross said he shot four other people. The shooter was killed during the gun fight, Ross said. Ross didn’t detail Glenn’s history with law enforcement.

“It is just one of those things that is surreal”, he said. “He was hellbent on hurting a lot of people”. “We still aren’t sure why”. The note was tucked inside an envelope that read “doomed”, according to Ross.

Commissioner Ross said Sergeant Young, who works in the 22nd District was shot eight times in the arm and vest. Young was also taken to Penn Presbyterian and was in stable condition on Saturday. “When he got locked up, he didn’t come out the same”, she said, noting that he had became aloof, disengaged and “acting like he didn’t know anybody”.

Nearby police officers heard the gunshots and chased the suspect on foot.

She added, “In these challenging and hard times for our country, there is no place that is immune to such senseless outbursts of violence”. Another two struck her service pistol, disabling it. He was taken to a hospital “for treatment for a severe sprain to his right ankle that was the result of jumping over fences of the rear yards of homes”, police said. Meanwhile, the gunman approached a bar, which had its door open, and injured a security guard there.

He then fired into a passing auto, killing a woman and critically injuring a man before he was shot and killed by police in an alley. The woman died from her injuries.

The chase ended when the gunman exchanged gunfire with police in an alley, wounding a University of Pennsylvania police officer.

The gunman was killed after being confronted in an alley by officers, including Officer Eddie Miller of the University of Pennsylvania police department. Two police officers and three civilians were also reportedly wounded.

Gunman Nicholas Glenn died in a shootout with police.

CNN affiliate WPVI reported that “officers will be riding two to a auto until further notice”. “Absolutely remarkable”, Ross said. “This should not happen in this country”, Ross said Saturday afternoon.
