This is the 1000bhp Saleen S7 LM
On top of that, why is a special edition S7 coming out now? But power will be increased from 750 horsepower to a Ferrari LaFerrari-beating 1,000 horsepower.

As is the usual case with special edition models, there aren’t a whole lot of changes to really talk about, but there are enough. The Saleen Owners and Enthusiasts Club reports that the upcoming supercar will have exposed carbon fiber, advanced electronics, and a 1,000-horsepower powertrain. It has been a long-ass time since the original S7 debuted, why the renewed interest all of a sudden? But, Saleen has said that there are also some updates to the interior that will make it unique. It will nearly certainly receive special badging inside to insinuate it as an S7 LM and will likely have a numbered plaque to denote which model of 7 it is. Expect a 0-60 time around 2.8 seconds, and a more impressive 0-100 miles per hour time of 5.9 seconds.
This year marks the 20th Anniversary of the beginning of a 7-year consecutive run of racing championships for Saleen.
In a press release on Monday, Saleen Automotive Inc announced the return of the Saleen S7 LM. Saleen Automotive President and CEO, Steve Saleen, believes they are “bringing back America’s only true supercar” – with a huge biturbo 7.0-liter engine packing a mythical 1,000 horsepower (746 kilowatts).
Racing history is in the Saleen blood, as characterized by their over a dozen racing championship wins from 1996 to 2002.
Assuming the beleaguered Saleen is actually able to crank out some new versions of the S7, the company claims it will use its 7.0-liter twin-turbo V8 to crank out 1,000 horsepower, and that each auto the vehicle builder makes will be built to a unique configuration, with different liveries, interiors, and wheel choices. Following a bout of conflicts in the past few years, the rights to the S7 fell under the jurisdiction of a holding company, which recently put a bundle of S7 goodies, including the intellectual rights, tools, unfinished cars, and parts up for auction. Labeled as America’s Supercar, it is the most successful supercar model ever. The S7 has raced and won in every major event from Dayton to LeMans. The street version has starred in several Hollywood blockbusters, including being driven by “God” in Bruce Almighty.

Each will make a flawless 1,000 HP from a 7.0-liter twin-turbo engine, Saleen is saying, which is 250 HP more than the original car’s output.
