She added: “At the time I was thinking people are so quick to judge without thinking, ‘Is there a reason why this person might be like that?”. “We didn’t have much money and there were times when me and my brothers and sister would have to go without so we had food on the table. I want to give back and help young people who feel like they’ll never achieve anything reach their dreams and live a happy life”.

The ‘X Factor’ judge has previously spoken candidly about her upbringing, and she’s expanded on it further, in a blog published on the Huffington Post UK.

Cheryl, 31, says her Cheryl’s Trust aims to help those youngsters who are growing up without support or a role model to turn to.

“I remember really wanting a Barbie doll, but because they were so expensive, I ended up having an old one from a girl up the road”.

“There is a side to Rita that I don’t think people have seen yet, which is amusing”.

“I Don’t Care” singer Chezza has confirmed she’s already started working on her next record, promising a SERIOUSLY R&B vibe to her new stuff AND giving us some hints about when album five might be dropping.

“With no-one to turn to, many of these young people are battling issues such as long-term unemployment, addiction, homelessness and depression, alone. They’ve made it possible for me to create an awesome life for myself, doing something I love every day”.

In her heartfelt editorial, the former Girls Aloud star speaks about her own youth in a disadvantaged area of Newcastle and how she was lucky enough to have great role models around her and support from her family when it came to achieving her dreams. “If they’re going to do it, they need to do it worldwide”.
