Apple unveils new iPhone 7, Internet goes insane over AirPods

Wouldn’t it be wonderful if Apple had included wireless charging so you could do both at the same time? But because the newly introduced Apple AirPods use a different wireless technology from Bluetooth, it is likely they won’t work with non-Apple products.

For starters, T-Mobile isn’t just handing over a new iPhone to you in exchange for your older model.

The Belkin Lightning Audio + Charge RockStar adapter will be available October 10 for an MSRP of $39.95USD at Belkin.com and Apple retail stores. It has a Lightning port on the back for its power supply and flanking that port is a 3.5mm jack.

In fact, you could say the omission of data connectivity in the Series 2 nullifies pretty much any reason for Global Positioning System to feature in Apple’s new smartwatches, because fitness folk will still need to tether the Series 2 to their iPhones if they want to listen to music on their workouts.

We expect more third-party solutions to arrive in the next few weeks to make this less of a pain in the rear. Users will now need to use wireless buds or use a Lightning port adapter (for wired headphones) that is expected to ship with the device.

If you’re already looking to pre-order an iPhone 7, there’s just one pre-order deal to check out for now – and on the surface, it looks hard to beat.

Of course, a hunk of plastic isn’t your only way to listen to music and charge the iPhone 7.

If you are thinking about the new iPhone, whether or not you are part of an early upgrade program, there are some pretty interesting limited-time offers from the carriers.

After months of rumors and criticism online, Apple confirmed Wednesday that it will eliminate the 3.5mm headphone jack from the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. But he did have a recommendation for those who preferred wired headphones and wanted to listen to music while charging and it’s called the Apple iPhone Lightning Dock.

IPhone 7 users are not forbidden of using standard headphones, as the company will include an adapter for the iPhone 7’s Lighting port to enable 3.5-mm input connection.
