Microsoft new Nokia phone launched, priced at Rs 2495

Yet on September 20, Microsoft launched yet another Nokia-branded feature phone. Like other basic Nokia models, the phone also sports a 2.4in QVGA screen with resolution at 240 x 320 pixels. Owners of these devices are also entitled to a free download every month for one year of one Gameloft game.

As far as entertainment is concerned the Nokia 216 Dual SIM comes with an FM radio, MP3 and video player and Bluetooth audio support for headset.

The device comes with microSD support for storage up to 32GB. The handset features a VGA camera (0.3-megapixels) with an LED flash module on both the front and back. The phone will be available in India from October 24.

Microsoft unveiled what could be one of its last Nokia mobile phones, as it prepares to complete the sale of its feature phone business later this year. It is also internet-enabled.

The Nokia 216 Dual SIM phone is 118.0×50.02×13.5mm in dimensions and weighs 83g. In May, the company announced it would sell its feature phone business to a subsidiary of Taiwanese firm Foxconn. The device is rated to deliver a standby time of 19 days, supports 18 hours of continuous voice conversation, and 47 hours of music playback.
