Lately, the flagship category of smartphones is under major scrutiny due to the Note 7 fiasco. They even took some time out of the presentation to show how good gaming performance is on the iPhone 7.
One belief is that the noise is being produced by iPhone 7 Plus’ CPU, considering application load seems to directly affect the degree of the hissing sound.
Some users of the new iPhone 7 Plus say the device makes a “hissing” sound when under stress.
Fortunately, Apple has acknowledged the issue and appears to be on the case, with a spokesperson for the company telling Business Insider that a fix will come in a future software update. The new price applies to every iPhone from the iPhone 5 all the way to the iPhone 7 Plus. I don’t have to put it up to my ear to hear it. The iPhone 7 looks almost identical to the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s (outside of the new color options and missing headphone jack), and doesn’t exactly have a single standout feature.
The phrase “coil whine” also popped up in several places as a possible cause, which relates to how electronics regulate their power supply.
One of the new features of the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are their Home buttons.
Given that iPhone 7 did not quite turn nearly too differently from the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s, users can only keep their fingers crossed that Apple will do their part in making a whole new breakthrough for iPhone 8.
