Apple’s website and the Apple Store mobile app have the option to “reserve” an iPhone, and users can then go into the store to pick up the device.
SYDNEY The iPhone 7, the latest version of Apples smartphone, began selling on Friday in Australia, with about 200 fans queuing outside the Apple store in Sydney for 48 hours to secure their new iPhone.
Apple claimed that its jet black iPhones and all iPhone 7 Plus versions in all colors have sold out in the initial online ordering period, based on the report of Tech Crunch.
A teardown of the iPhone 7 Plus has showed that the smartphone comes along with a bigger battery as compared to the iPhone 6s Plus, and 3GB RAM.
Apple warned on Thursday that initial stocks of the iPhone 7 Plus had already sold out the day before launch day, while the jet black iPhone 7 would also not be available to walk-in customers.
For those of you who skipped the Apple keynote which broke down the new features of the iPhone 7 and its larger companion, the iPhone 7 Plus is the one with the two cameras.
As for people on the hunt for a smaller iPhone 7, you should have a much easier time unless you want a Jet Black one, in which case you’re out of luck. Walk-in customers won’t be able to get the iPhone 7 Plus, Apple says it won’t hit shops until November.
The new smartphones are coming to customers who managed to pre-order them as soon as the window opened last Friday. Azzura Lalani, of the Toronto Star, is on the scene at the Eaton Centre Apple store, and noted about 150 people waiting.
Apple launched the new phones at a San Francisco event earlier this month.

Apple’s Grand Central Station store was packed as well, with the line filling almost the entire upper deck outside. That’s a valid concern, given that some may look at the new phones and decide not to upgrade so quickly. But some around across the country may have received limited inventory of gold, rose gold, silver and even black iPhone 7 Plus units.
