Officer-Involved Shooting At Foxwoods Casino Under Investigation
State troopers have been called to help the Mashantucket Tribal Police with an investigation of an officer-involved shooting at a casino Tuesday.

Evan Cummins, a spectator inside the casino, tweeted with News 8’s David Iversen about what’s happening inside. The incident involved Mashantucket Tribal Police, who then contacted state police to request the Major Crimes Unit.
A member of the Mashantucket Tribal Police shot and killed an armed patron in the parking garage outside Foxwoods Resort Casino, The Day reports. The person has not yet been identified. A Foxwoods representative tells News 8 that the male patron had outstanding arrest warrants.
Police have not released any further details of the shooting, which remains under investigation.

State police stressed that there was no active shooter and no threat to the general public.
