Police said the fight broke out at the Recess Lounge over confusion about who had purchased a bottle of champagne.

No charges were levied against Buffalo Bills running back LeSean McCoy for a fight with off-duty Philadelphia cops by the city of Philadelphia, but the legal drama continues for McCoy.

McCoy is a graduate of Bishop McDevitt High School in Harrisburg.

The officers claim the club failed to provide adequate security and should not have continued to serve alcohol to McCoy and the other men who officers say were visibly intoxicated. “As a result of the violent assault, both men have suffered serious and permanent injuries”.

District Attorney Seth Williams announced in April that no charges would be filed in connection with the February 7 fight in Old City, saying he couldn’t prove who started it.

The Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Office later reviewed the case and decided in July to uphold Williams’ decision not to prosecute. The incident was sparked by an argument over the “ownership” of a bottle of champagne, according to police.

At the time, McCoy’s attorney, Dennis Cogan, told ESPN.com, “Frankly, McCoy did nothing wrong”.

Jessie suffered facial fractures, a concussion and a cut that required eight stitches to close, while Butler sustained a broken nose, several broken ribs, a broken thumb and bruises on his torso and eye, according to the complaint. Both missed two months of work. The Bills were off Tuesday and return to practice on Wednesday.
