David Brock, the founder of Media Matters for America, claimed that Wallace’s current position at Fox News, where he serves as an anchor, is a “conflict of interest”.
The first of three presidential debates will be held at New York’s Hofstra University and will be moderated by NBC’s Lester Holt.
Both Trump and Clinton agreed to the moderators and formats announced earlier this month by the bipartisan Commission on Presidential Debates.
“CNN is the Clinton News Network”, Trump continued, “and Anderson Cooper, I don’t think he can be fair”.

A Morning Consult national tracking poll of registered voters asked “Which debate moderator do you think will host the best debate overall?”

“Now the new person is going to be really hard on Trump just to show the establishment what he can do”, he said.
O’REILLY: “Raddatz and Cooper, you OK with them, or no?” The billionaire businessman claimed that while he believes Cooper will be unfair, Trump argued that Chris Wallace, who is moderating the October 19 debate, will be “tough”.
This was the second time in a week Trump bashed Cooper. I – look, I’ve worked pretty well within the system.
“I have absolutely no idea”, Trump said. “We’re very happy for Anderson”.
Among registered voters surveyed, 73 percent say they’re at least somewhat likely to watch the September 26 debate, including 44 percent who say they are “very likely” to watch, according to the Morning Consult poll.

Among those surveyed in the Morning Consult poll, however, Cooper gets the highest marks for being the most likely to ask “tough questions” and be “least biased”.
