Manchester City have won all their matches under Guardiola this season and are strong favourites to march to silverware in the Spaniard’s very first campaign in charge.

Super Eagles teenage forward, Kelechi Iheanacho was again in superb form for his club, Manchester City yesterday as he helped the Pep Guardiola tutored side to a comprehensive 4-0 victory over Bournemouth in the English premiership.

“Leroy was ready to start this game but I decided something different”, he said.

Guardiola made four changes to the team that had outclassed Borussia Moenchengladbach in the Champions League Wednesday, with Bacary Sagna, Gael Clichy, Iheanacho and Nolito coming in.

“I am happy. We have won five games in the Premier League”.

“I have to recognise I’m so happy, but I have to tell you I’m going to lose the games”.

“I think there is still potential to get better but every single game is a new one starting from zero”.

Guardiola said, “My happiness does not depend on if I am going to win all the titles or not. It is not so easy, we have a lot of work and it is only September”.

The 19-year-old also said he was looking ahead to their next game against Swansea. I heard from years ago the Premier League is the toughest league and I am going to accept that.

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola suggests that only Lionel Messi is better than Kevin De Bruyne in the ranking of players that he has managed during his career.

City are at the head of the EPL table after winning their first five matches this season under Guardiola, scoring 15 goals in the process and conceding just four. But that table aside, Kevin can stay there.

“Manchester City arrived once in their lives in the Champions League semi-final, so when the people believe I am going to win the Champions League because I am a really good coach”. He sees absolutely everything. That is why he is a player on another level.

And Gundogan added: “He’s an wonderful player, I know him from my days in Germany”.

“The most important thing is that we have a good build-up and that every player knows what he has to do so it doesn’t matter which role the manager gives us”. Jack Wilshere, on loan from Arsenal, made his first Bournemouth start, but it was to prove an afternoon to forget for the England global.

“It was hard for Jack. To win titles or not we will have to see”, he added.

“It was a hard day for us”.
