Mata: No time for mourning – Manchester United must react

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is reportedly expected to rest David de Gea, Paul Pogba and Eric Bailly for tomorrow’s EFL Cup tie against Northampton Town.

Mourinho singled out Shaw following United’s 3-1 defeat at Watford, criticising the left-back’s role in the hosts’ second goal.

The 24-year old signed for United for £16.5m in 2011 and was hailed a potential first-team regular for the next decade or more.

United fans have voiced their concerns about Rooney on social media and radio call shows in a rising groundswell of discontent and Mourinho faces a tense few days in which to ponder the situation.

The Premier League introduced new rules that included the requirement of a “tunnel doctor” to support team medics in identifying suspected concussions and assessing their fitness to continue playing.

“I was completely aware that we were not ideal, with lots of players who are not end products and can make their own mistakes”. Some individuals feel the pressure too much.

United are determined to keep Rashford settled at the club and they want the player to be aware that they are happy to improve his deal if he continues to impress at Old Trafford, with reports saying he could be made the highest-paid teenager in world football.

“This is not a tactical but a mental attitude”. After 83 minutes, Zuniga scored with a shot from 13 meters.

“The luck is going to be on our side at the right time and in the future, we are going to achieve our goals as well”, said Mourinho after the match with Watford. An individual mistake. A mistake that went against our plan and our training.

“We knew about their interest, we spoke to Juventus, their target was Champions League and they gave him the Number 10 shirt, so we stayed another year”.

“For the second goal, their player receives the ball and our left-back [Luke Shaw] is 25 meters from him instead of five”. Even at 25 you have to jump and go and press but no, we wait. It doesn’t become ideal in a few weeks.

To be played on Wednesday 21st September 2016 at 18:45. Everyone thought United would fire on all cylinders when they travelled to face Watford.

But the Italian was happier that the impressive performance proved his methods can work in the Premier League. I’m sad. Obviously, I’m sad but, as I was telling the players, there is only one way.

How much influence do they have in decisions about whether or not a player is concussed?
