Vikings’ Adrian Peterson carried to locker room through a restaurant

Sam Bradford had a Minnesota debut nearly as dazzling as the new $1.1 billion building itself, completing 22 of 31 passes for 286 yards, two touchdowns and no turnovers to lead the Vikings to a 17-14 victory over the Green Bay Packers on Sunday night just 15 days after he arrived in a trade.

Green Bay responded with a touchdown early in the fourth quarter after Rodgers ran it in from 10 yards out.

“We just stood up, I mean every personnel group we brought in was getting exhausted, we had a couple of guys get beat up and we just kept playing”.

Aaron Rodgers didn’t quite break out his “relax” speech to the media after the Packers’ loss to the Vikings on Sunday, but his comments did sound familiar.

McCown finished the game 20-of-33 for 260 yards and two touchdowns.

The Trade was Worth ItMinnesota Vikings quarterback Sam Bradford (8) smiles following the game against the Green Bay Packers at U.S. Bank Stadium.

You’re replacing him with: Replacing a dual-threat guy like Woodhead won’t be easy. “We’re not going to be the only team to have injuries”, Zimmer said. If the Panthers can shut down the running game (Peterson may not play) and tee off on Sam Bradford it will be a long day for the former number one overall draft pick.

Adams, who had a fumble on Green Bay’s first play of the game, felt the offense hurt itself by not finding its rhythm until those late drives that ended with the costly giveaways.

The Minnesota Vikings took their lumps in a 17-14 victory Sunday night, and much of it had to do with a leaky offensive line that had a hard time protecting their top playmakers. The Vikings last played the Panthers during week 13 of the 2014 season that saw the Vikings win 31-13. Granted, Chicago’s offensive line is a mess-they allowed three sacks on Monday, while the team rushed for just 64 yards and 3.6 a carry-but the Bears just seem completely out of sorts. However, recovery from this injury can vary widely depending on the severity of the tear, and there is no current timetable for a return.

“I think we’re close, at times”, Rodgers said.

Rodgers threw deep again on second down and on third down tight end Jared Cook made the egregious error of losing yardage after already having crossed the first down marker after a catch. “There’s some moving pieces right now”.

“I think that depends”. Bradford did manage to find Stefan Diggs on third down for a 14-yard play, but it wasn’t enough for a first down, and the punting team came onto the field once more.

Quotable: “Two ballgames, 1-1, we’re not 1-15”, head coach Jim Caldwell said.

Along with that, McCarthy wants to get what he called his excellent 1-2 punch of Eddie Lacy and James Starks at running back more involved after they combined for just 19 carries for 53 yards Sunday.

The challenge this week will be to do so without arguably their most important player in the running game.

NOTES: McCarthy had no update on DT Letroy Guion (knee) and S Morgan Burnett (hamstring). While Von Miller dominated on his way to three sacks, veteran pass-rusher Demarcus Ware suffered a fractured ulna, coach Gary Kubiak confirmed Sunday. LB Clay Matthews, who went off the field near the end of the game, also was being evaluated.
