Dodgers don ‘#DONTLOOKATME’ shirts in wake of Puig-Bumgarner fracas
With the help of some uber-fast t-shirt making company, the team has clapped back in a big way to Madison Bumgarner’s four-word provocation to Yasiel Puig during Monday night’s game. Bumgarner celebrated the third out which didn’t sit well with Puig because the two started a shouting match which led to each dugout emptying. The Giants led 1-0 entering the ninth inning, but the Dodgers plated two runs – the game-winner on a walk-off hit from Adrian Gonzalez – to win the game.

So… before last night, I kept thinking that the Giants would find a way into the playoffs because they’re such a battle-tested team and they have Bochy, Buster Posey and Bumgarner. “I’ve tried to mix it up where something can work, and to be honest, that hasn’t gone well”.
And I would assume, again with Bumgarner under 100 pitches and looking great, the incident nearly certainly had to be one of the reasons Bochy took Bumgarner-or Bumgarner asked-out of the game.
Bumgarner fielded a slow tapper by Puig along the first base line and threw him out to end the inning.
“Maybe because it was his only hit and he was angry”, Puig said.
“I just ran, and he was looking in my direction”, Puig said through a translator, “and he asked why I was looking at him, and then I asked him why he was looking at me”.
The Los Angeles Dodgers have just unlocked a new level in world class baseball trolling. “That’s what it looked like to me”.
“I think we’re getting a little carried away with the questions here”, he said, at a odd time to be asking for restraint.
Bumgarner and Puig have clashed in the past, leading Turner to joke, “Those two like each other a lot”. He didn’t do anything.
Puig looked surprised, but he wasn’t letting it go either. They’re now six games behind the Dodgers for first place in the NL West, their largest deficit all season.
