Resident Evil 7: Capcom goes all-out with new trailer, demo, and details
Some of the potential pre-order DLC for Resident Evil 7 has appeared online, hinting at some in-game items and mechanics. The demo has been downloaded over 3 million times from its original version alone, so it’ll be interesting to see just how many people go for it now that it’ll be more widely available.

An update for the Resident Evil 7’s Beginning Hour demo will be released on September 17, Capcom has announced. So far, that had amounted to a slow, corridor-crawling demo released to tease a new first-person perspective, but now we’re getting a way more in-depth look at the overall story and characters that will feature in the full game. In the trailer you get a look at Resi 7’s combat and a feast with the Baker family – you don’t want to be invited over to tea there.
Some more details, and lovely screenshots, over on the Capcom blog.
We had a suspicion that Resident Evil might be making an appearance at E3 2016, but nothing could have prepared us for the game’s fascinating and terrifying new horror style. Bundling together the game and Season Pass, Capcom is raising the price because the Deluxe Edition has been upgraded to include another playable episode, bringing the total of additional pieces of content from two to three.
The demo has been generally very well received for taking Resident Evil 7 in a completely new direction than numerous previous titles – specifically Resident Evil 5 & 6. This is on top of all the in-game items already included in the pre-order.
The game can be pre-ordered on PS4 which also includes a Deluxe Edition for $89.99.
Pre-orders for Resident Evil 7: biohazard are now available in both standard and deluxe versions. Pre-orders also kicked off for PlayStation today, which revealed that the game will have a super-hard difficulty mode called Madhouse, unlocked after the first playthrough.
