PM s Bihar package a poll gimmick Opposition parties

As the assembly election of Bihar is approaching; BJP has decided to declare 3D Hologram of Narendra Modi as CM candidate for Bihar. Now you give me your blessings to change the fate of Bihar… Instead, he said, he would visit Bihar on August 28 to participate in a government function and has promised Kumar that he would selectively campaign for JD (U) candidates in Bihar polls, which are expected to be held in October end. He said in January 2015, the number of crime cases was 13,808 which has increased to 18,500 by June.

Kumar had returned the check after Modi put out advertisements in Bihar newspapers about it, which he saw as an attempt by the BJP leader to build his political capital.

Earlier this year, the Centre announced a development package of Rs 850 crore for Andhra Pradesh, to offset its perceived resource disadvantage due to the carving out of Telangana from the undivided state.

The chief minister also mocked Modi’s pre-poll promise of bringing back black money stashed overseas, saying people were now being made to do Yoga. “12,000 crore to the state government after lot of persuations by the chief minister but surprisingly, out of that only Rs 4,000 crore was spent till today”, he said.

With the assembly election in Bihar to be announced in a few weeks, CM Nitish Kumar is all set to share the stage with his Delhi counterpart Arvind Kejriwal. “If somebody is sick, what else do we say?”

The Prime Minister said that for India to progress, the eastern part of India had to move forward. “He talks of cooperative federalism and acts contrary to it. He will humiliate the State Government, call it incompetent…” Kumar later rebutted Modi’s claims and said that the schemes announced by the BJP leader were simply a ” repackaging of old projects”. “What kind of cooperative federalism is this?” “There is nothing new”.

Now, they are not even bothering about any negative backlash from the Andhras. “What is new?” he asked. Still, the announcement gives heft to the PM’s poll refrain – that BJP is committed to bringing the fruits of development to Bihar.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi (left) is received by the Governor of Bihar, Ram Nath Kovind (second from left) and the Chief Minister of Bihar, Nitish Kumar (second from right) on his arrival in Ara, Bihar, yesterday. “This is contradictory. How can a seeker be arrogant?” he asked.

“All Biharis are happy over the announcment”.
