Eagles Receivers’ Drops Kept Carson Wentz From Another Standout Statistical Game

The other two significant injuries from the Bears’ loss to the Eagles on Monday were the ones suffered by linebackers Danny Trevathan and Lamarr Houston. According to the Bears, he is slated to undergo tests on the thumb on Tuesday, but things aren’t looking good as of now.

Coach John Fox likes to boast about how the Bears have transitioned from the oldest roster to one of the youngest in the National Football League in less than two years. However, Fox stated that Cutler wasn’t limited in Week 2 preparations, which would suggest that the injury didn’t occur in the season-opening loss to the Texans.

For a rookie quarterback that didn’t start a full season at the FCS level in 2015, the Eagles have no problem in asking Wentz to throw more than 30 times a game.

Thus far, Matthews leads the Eagles with 20 targets through the first two games and has posted 13 receptions for 185 yards and one touchdown.

Meanwhile, defensive tackle Eddie Goldman, who was carted off the field in the second half with an ankle injury, could also miss time.

Look what happened: Starting quarterback Tony Romo’s fractured vertebra opened the door for Prescott, who sure is playing like the Cowboys’ heir apparent at the position.

In the 3rd quarter, Cutler threw an terrible, awful pass, directly into the waiting arms of an Eagles defender, and hand injury or not, that was simply a bad decision on Cutler’s part. “So, I had to talk to Rags and get (Brian) Hoyer in there and then I knew my day was done”.

The Bears would be lucky to win six games this season.

Cutler, who completed 12 of 17 passes for 157 yards, walked to the locker room following an interception by Nigel Bradham late in the third quarter. His thumb injury helped cause the turnover and Cutler’s status is up in the air going forward.

“I’m fine with that”, Cutler said. You an make your own mind up what he said.

“For me, it has nothing to do with this country or the flag or the anthem in itself”, Jenkins told Sportsradio 94WIP.

The Bears aren’t going to make the playoffs this season.

Notes: S Adrian Amos and CB Bryce Callahan exited Monday’s game with concussions, S Chris Prosinski bruised his right calf and RB Ka’Deem Carey strained his hamstring. He probably could have had a third touchdown pass Monday night to his tight end had he a put a little more air on the football as you can see in the animated gif below.
