Luke Shaw ruled out of Man United’s clash with Northampton
Is it that coaches see limitless potential within the 20-year-old defender or is it that he is simply not doing his job right?

Jose Mourinho and his players have come in for some criticism for their performances, in particular Wayne Rooney who has struggled to impose himself on games this season.
Marcus Rashford has revealed the secret behind his emergence as a goalscoring talent at Manchester United.
Asked if United’s drop in form was worrying, Mourinho said: “My feeling is that it is not because we started the season very well with (winning) the Community Shield and three victories in a row in the Premier League”.
Marcos Rojo, who deputised to terrible effect against Feyenoord, Daley Blind and Matteo Darmian are the replacement options.
Mourinho’s United have lost three matches in eight days, including a home derby defeat to Manchester City and a shocking 3-1 loss at Watford on Sunday. Luke Shaw has been one of the best performers for Man United this season, after spending nearly a year recuperating from the broken leg he suffered last September.
Press Association Sport understands the left-back had a groin complaint scanned on Tuesday, with the results showing a slight tear that makes him 50-50 for Saturday’s Premier League clash with reigning champions Leicester.
According to The Sun, the 18-year old Rashford is being offered a stellar £50,000 per week, making him the highest paid teenager, matching Bayern Munich’s Renato Sanches. Raiola also revealed that United very almost missed out on signing Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who he believes was the best player in the Bundesliga in the past two seasons. He insisted that Shaw should be treated the way “Everton did with Ross Barkley this week” in that “they took him off last weekend and he goes and delivers a good performance this weekend”.
He said: “We have to improve, no doubt, individually and collectively”.
A January splash has not been completely ruled out but it would need an unexpected big name becoming available for the Reds to add to Mourinho’s expenditure.

Rooney needs only four goals to surpass Bobby Charlton’s United scoring record of 249 goals, but his first-team status is more fragile than ever.
