The Pakistani-origin wife of NY and New Jersey bombings suspect left the USA just days before the attacks and authorities are now working with Pakistani and UAE officials to get access to her, media reports said on Tuesday.

“But they check it nearly two months”.

Like terrorist attacks prior to this one, individuals close to the suspect contacted authorities years ago, alerting them Rahami might be into terroristy things. He also praised Anwar al-Awlaki – the American-born, former senior Al Qaeda leader who was killed in a drone strike in Yemen in 2011 – and the soldier involved in the Fort Hood shooting in 2009.

Authorities have identified a suspect in the Manhattan explosion case as a 28-year-old New Jersey resident of Afghan descent who may be armed and risky, New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio said on Monday.

New Jersey State Police got into a shootout Monday with the 28-year-old naturalized USA citizen after receiving a tip about a man sleeping in a bar doorway in Linden.

Mr. Rahami allegedly planted bombs in two locations in the Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan, and allegedly placed explosives in Seaside Park and Elizabeth, N.J. However, federal authorities are weighing charges over the bombings.

The information was passed on to the FBI-led joint terrorism task force, which looks at all such tips. They are interested in what his dad has to say.

Rahami was captured after a bar owner in Linden, New Jersey reported someone asleep in his doorway. His father made the terrorist claim after the stabbing, but recanted when questioned by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and officials concluded he was just mad about the stabbing. The officers shot had non-life-threatening injuries, NBC News reported.

Ahmad Khan Rahami, who was injured in a shootout with police, has been charged by county prosecutors with attempted murder. One source not authorized to talk about the investigation publicly said searches of the building where Rahami lived have not turned up bomb-making materials.
