De Bruyne is second only to Lionel Messi, claims Guardiola
City extended their winning start in the league to five games with a 4-0 victory over Bournemouth on Saturday.

As a result they sit top of the league table and have begun their Champions League campaign with a 4-0 win over Borussia Monchengladbach, leading some to tip them for a quadruple this season.
The creative force behind City’s 2-1 win at Manchester United last weekend, De Bruyne ran the game at Etihad Stadium, too, opening the scoring by shooting a free kick underneath a jumping wall in the 15th minute.
“Every training session they look after you individually – not just Pep, but the fitness coaches, the assistant coaches, the EDS coach when he sends players to train with the first team squad”.
Obviously, City fans were thrilled.
“Leroy was ready to start this game but I decided something different”, he said.
“He is aggressive without the ball, but especially with the ball it is clear he knows already everything, he sees absolutely everything and in front of the goal he scores and makes assists”. He decides what he has to do in the right moment every single time. That is why he is a player on another level.
Raheem Sterling and Kevin De Bruyne impressed as Manchester City eased past Bournemouth.
De Bruyne is not one of the Premier League’s off-field showmen.
Pep Guardiola has given a positive assessment of Leroy Sane’s fitness and said that the German midfielder will feature in Manchester City’s EFL Cup tie against Swansea City.
Nigeria’s Alex Iwobi had a good game as he was involved in two of the goals and awarded the Man of the Match. The incident was sparked by Smith running into Nolito off the ball.
Ilkay Gundogan also got his first Premier League goal to continue Pep Guardiola’s ideal start of the season.
Gundogan played under Klopp in the Bundesliga until he left for Liverpool and is now under the tutelage of Guardiola, who Klopp battled against during his time in charge of Bayern Munich. They have won their first eight matches in all competitions, beating their previous best start to a season in 1897-98.
“Numbers are numbers. One record will be for another person to beat”, said Guardiola.
