Trump on bombing suspect: How did he get through system?

“Americans will not cower, we will prevail”, said Clinton, adding that “if you see something, or you hear something, report it immediately to local law enforcement authorities”, and promised that “we will not turn on each other or undermine our values”.

Police say Rahami was identified on video planting bombs in the Chelsea neighborhood of New York City.

Notably, as Trump pointed out to Fox and Friends, Hillary Clinton also used the word “bombings” when she spoke to reporters on her campaign plane about two hours after the explosion, saying that she had “been briefed about bombings in NY and New Jersey”.

Rahami is a naturalized citizen, according to The New York Times, and has been living with his family in the U.S. He was born in 1988 in Afghanistan.

“I must tell you that just before I got off the plane a bomb went off in NY and nobody knows what’s going on”, Trump said, minutes after stepping off his plane during a rally at an airport hangar in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

In June, Trump said the US needs to start looking into the use of profiling to stop terrorism. “We’re allowing these people to come in”, Trump said on “Fox and Friends”. “We must have speedy, but fair trials and we must deliver a just and very harsh punishment to these people”.

Clinton touted her national security credentials at a hastily arranged news conference outside her campaign plane, accusing Trump of using the incidents to make “some kind of demagogic point”.

Trump cited Israel as a model for the United States to emulate.

“They are hoping and praying that Hillary Clinton becomes president so that they can continue their savagery and murder”, Trump said on Facebook.

“I must tell you that just before I got off the plane a bomb went off in NY, and nobody knows exactly what’s going on, but boy, we are living in a time, we better get very tough, folks, we better get very, very tough”.

“I don’t like critics”, he said.

“This is a fast-moving situation and a sobering reminder that we need steady leadership in a risky world”, she said.

This election marks the first presidential campaign where millennials make up the single largest generation among USA adults, having surpassed baby boomers during the past four years. Clinton has made a similar charge of her rival, saying that ISIS wants him to win.

He said Americans are reluctant to follow Israel’s example due to political correctness, “and this is only going to get worse”.

Trump has sought to tie Clinton to the decisions of the Obama administration, pointing to the four years she served as the Democratic president’s secretary of state from 2009 to 2013.
