The Hollywood couple, known collectively as Brangelina, married in 2014 after 10 years together.
Jolie filed for divorce Monday after separating from her husband September 15, according to court documents.
Pitt and Jolie began dating after his divorce and the two share six children. The couple cited the classic, “irreconcilable differences” in the papers, along with more stipulations regarding the care of their six children.
An attorney for Jolie Pitt, Robert Offer, said Tuesday that Jolie Pitt’s decision to divorce was made “for the health of the family”.
In addition to being an actress, Jolie also is a filmmaker and humanitarian.
That means the kids would live with Jolie full time. “I kindly ask the press to give them the space they deserve during this challenging time”, said in a statement.
Jolie, 41, was reportedly upset with the way Pitt was parenting the children.
A source quoted Brad Pitt as saying, “She’s just unleashed hell”. For the sake of their kids let’s hope they keep their divorce more kid friendly than tabloid friendly. Brad will get frustrated sometimes and yell at the kids.
No matter what, family should always come first, and keeping everyone happy, safe, and healthy is the main priority.
