Carson Wentz puts in another strong showing as Eagles beat Bears
“For coach to have confidence in me, if we get a completion, we keep going no huddle”, Wentz said. “If it comes down to making somebody uncomfortable by speaking the truth, then I’ll always make you uncomfortable with the truth, (rather) than make you feel comfortable with a lie”.

Luckily for us, Roethlisberger sat down and had a few beers with former Steelers defensive end Brett Keisel prior to going home from that game and after voicing his frustrations, made a decision to put the recent loss to the Eagles behind him and continue on with his career.
“I got kind of aggressive there”, said Mills.
Two games and 71 pass attempts without an interception and Eagles fans are all in on the Wentz Wagon.
“He’s always had that good down-the-field vision”, he said.
The Bears’ injury report also includes Cutler, whose thumb sprain won’t require surgery; defensive lineman Eddie Goldman, whose ankle sprain is still being evaluated; linebacker Lamarr Houston, whose knee injury is considered “substantial” as the team awaits an MRI; and safeties Adrian Amos and Bryce Callahan, both of whom are in the NFL’s concussion protocol.
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported that the Bears are “preparing for a lengthy absence” for Cutler.
Going into his first away game, Pederson found out he would be without cornerback Ledois McKelvi and his athletic tight end Zach Ertz, who was a large part of his team’s offense. Mathews scored on runs of three yards (2.74 meters) and one yard, sandwiched around a two-yard touchdown pass from Carson Wentz to Trey Burton. The biggest hit Wentz took came early in the second quarter. This is a quarterback Pederson (and John DeFilippo, and Frank Reich) are very comfortable in, not as a rookie quarterback but as a straight up, starting-caliber quarterback. He finished 21 of 34 for 190 yards and one touchdown, and he went another week without a turnover.
An 11-play 77-yard drive which once again stalled in the redzone saw Caleb Sturgis kick Philadelphia to within one point, and then with half-time on the horizon, Wentz threw a ideal ball to the corner of the endzone only for Jordan Matthews to drop the sure touchdown, forcing Sturgis to enter once more to kick the Eagles ahead. Not only did they follow up a season-opening loss at Houston with a dismal performance, they lost quarterback Jay Cutler to a right thumb injury.
“We’re playing stout, pretty strong and aggressive”.
So far the Eagles have chewed through the dismal Browns and a god-awful Bears team. “Little screen on the goal line, we repped it a couple times in practice, got the look we wanted and it worked out really well”. The Washington Redskins might not be as good as they were when they won the NFC East in 2015, but Pittsburgh’s 38-16 victory against the defending division champs in Week 1 was certainly impressive.
It was bad enough that the quarterback on the other side made him look like the rookie.
The Bears would be lucky to win six games this season. But Carson Wentz turned in another excellent effort and so did the defense.
Doug Pederson’s aggressiveness wasn’t just a Week 1 flaunt.
