Luke Shaw ‘disappointed with Jose Mourinho criticism following Watford display’
According to The Times, Shaw “feels that he would benefit more from private instruction from the Manchester United manager, rather than being made a scapegoat” for the loss.

Jose Mourinho has reportedly found the reason behind Manchester United’s slump in form, and it’s nothing to do with him.
But his lack of mobility makes United predictable and Mourinho must be tempted to play the sharper Ander Herrera or a natural holding midfielder like Morgan Schneiderlin to allow Paul Pogba more freedom to get forward.
Nevertheless, after spending £89 million to bring Pogba back to Old Trafford, some United fans could be forgiven for feeling uneasy at the prospect of paying such an amount of money for a player their club discarded not so long ago.
He may well have lost a lot of his previous mobility, and rarely makes a killer tackle when United are on the back foot, but Carrick is the club’s best option when it comes to somebody who can show real authority in the middle.
“The way it is going for Jose Mourinho right now, questions are being asked in terms of how his team are playing”.
He has since established himself as a top-class central midfielder, and the kind of player United are crying out for at the moment. For now though, United have Northampton to worry about in the EFL Cup via a game that is expected to warrant starts for Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial while Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Wayne Rooney slip to the bench.
When the Frenchman has been used as one of two pivots in midfield, he has too often ended up collecting possession far too deep to have a real effect.
