X Factor contestants face ‘wall of songs’ as Bootcamp kicks off

Simon Cowell has admitted some “X Factor” contestants have “blown their chances” on the show after a welcome party got out of hand.

The typically gruelling round opened with a twist – the Wall of Songs. Unfortunately a lot of people weren’t as fortunate. This was a great audition by all contestants and one of the best all night.

There have also been a fair few familiar faces from series gone by returning for another crack at “The X Factor” whip, such as Anelisa Lambola, who came back to the competition after a decade in last Sunday’s show.

Montage – These were mostly good vocalists in here, including Janet Grogan, group 5AM, Niall Sexton, and Samantha Lavery, who may win the award for “biggest hair of the season”. Every time he sings you get emotional with him.

Bosses have agreed to cut her audition and told her that they will look into it.

Sasha Taylor, James Craise, and Christian Burrows – We don’t remember the first two from the auditions, but Christian’s the real star here. His passion was infectious and matched the song perfectly.

Girl group Skarl3t abandoned their fellow performers Kayleigh Marie Morgan and Tinuke to rehearse alone, claiming they had been “stuck with parts of the song we weren’t familiar with”.

While Kirsty later explained why she did it: “I was with my mum and we saw a door labelled “Judges Room” in front of us”. Lucky for Melissa she didn’t and instead completely wowed the judges. The judges thought that Ivy was effortless and I couldn’t have agreed more!

The role will not faze the singer, who helped take James Arthur and Jahmene Douglas to the final in 2012, with James being crowned the eventual victor.

Sharon says of Matt: “He has everything”.

Talking about the crushing comment during an interview with UBandTV in 2012, Mike said: “X Factor was an interesting journey…”

However, he managed to make it back on time to perform and the trio impressed the judges, with all making it through to the Six Chair Challenge next week.
