Game of Thrones dethrones Frasier with 38 Emmys
What are your thoughts on last night’s Emmy Awards ceremony and Kimmel’s performance? Kimmel’s bit featured actors from several shows that were up for bigger awards: “The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story”, “Modern Family”, “The Late Late Show”, “Veep” and “Game of Thrones”. Kimmel’s mom was shown making the sandwiches, and Kevin Spacey joined her to eat one. “Are you rooting for O.J.to win this time?” he asked Marcia Clark, seated with her onscreen counterpart Paulson.

In this year’s Emmy’s, Netflix’s hard work may finally be bearing fruit.
“The more I learned about the real Marcia Clark. the more I had to recognize that I along with the rest of the world had been superficial and careless in my judgment”, said Paulson, accepting her first Emmy. I don’t see her.
Also a surprise were lead actors in a drama series: Rami Malek for Mr. Robot and Tatiana Maslany for Orphan Black.
The enormously popular fantasy series, which is based on JJ Martin’s series of epic fantasy novels “A Song of Ice and Fire”, became the most successful show at the Primetime Emmy Awards.
“She’ll tell me where it will go in our house”, he said.
American Crime Story, a dramatisation of the 1995 murder trial of the USA football star, won nine Emmys, including the award for best limited series. “Thank you”, John Oliver said.
Congratulations to “Game of Thrones” for winning the top honor of the 68th annual Emmy Awards – Outstanding Drama Series – for a second year in a row, and breaking the record for the most Emmy wins of any primetime series.

Backstage, actress Regina King took note of the Simpson series after winning a supporting award for “American Crime”, the only victor from a scripted series that aired on one of the commercial broadcast networks. Another show that also premiered in India on Star World Premiere HD, The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story, won a staggering total of 9 awards at the Emmys with first time nominee and victor, Sterling K Brown receiving a standing ovation from the audiences at the ceremony!
