Brett Favre on Carson Wentz: ‘I’m impressed with him’
The Bears’ injury report also includes Cutler, whose thumb sprain won’t require surgery; defensive lineman Eddie Goldman, whose ankle sprain is still being evaluated; linebacker Lamarr Houston, whose knee injury is considered “substantial” as the team awaits an MRI; and safeties Adrian Amos and Bryce Callahan, both of whom are in the NFL’s concussion protocol.

The games on the lakefront during his short tenure have provided some great examples of “Film Noir”. He made a great throw rolling to his left and hitting Trey Burton in the middle of the field. A Bears offsides gave them a second chance when they missed the first attempt, but Mathews took the do-over and punched the ball in from one yard away for a 29-7 lead.
With that being the case, why would the Bears jeopardize that by playing Cutler for the rest of the year?
There’s no reason for the Chicago Bears to have any kind of respect thrown their way after the embarrassing and humiliating defeat in Week 2 on Monday Night Football at the hands of the Philadelphia Eagles.
You’ve underestimated the Bears’ ability to produce a dark narrative over three hours. “You know, sometimes things like that happen”.
The quarterback has a sprained right thumb and is now considered “day to day”, but the injury is not expected to require surgery – though Fox acknowledged that could change.
“It’s tough (to have so many injuries) but that’s part of the National Football League”, added reserve quarterback Brian Hoyer, who replaced Cutler on the final drive of the third quarter.
That’s a clear reference to the Bears’ starting quarterback without mentioning him by name, and the point about the growth from Cutler is a fair criticism.
The Bears dropped home games to Green Bay and Arizona and got shut out at Seattle before beating Oakland at home.
Bears fans deserve their future at the position, and now they’ll just have to suffer through one brutal season before potentially getting him. Over the course of last season and the beginning portions of this season, Fox has been the opposite of forthright with injuries. He was not on the injury report leading up to the Eagles game.
The Philadelphia Eagles look like they made the right call trading up to take Carson Wentz in April’s draft.
Thus far, Matthews leads the Eagles with 20 targets through the first two games and has posted 13 receptions for 185 yards and one touchdown. That’s generally rare from a rookie quarterback. Add another tally in the win column now.
Sturgis’ other field goals came from 25 and 29 yards. Did you hear the “Robbie, Robbie” chants at Soldier Field too? “Without looking at the tape, any time you are minus-three in turnover ratio, it can look like that”. It definitely wasn’t a clean game. “Obviously, well enough to win”, head coach Doug Pederson, a rookie himself, said of Wentz.
“I talked about it all spring. how fortunate we are to have three tight ends”.
Perhaps the thoughts of an improved team were a little premature.

The latter statement is true, but is the first?
