Fans Queue as Apple’s iPhone 7 is Reportedly Sold out

Apple employees enthusiastically counted down the last moments before stores from San Francisco to Shanghai opened on Friday to launch the iPhone 7, but the ranks of shoppers were notably thinner than in previous years.
Yet in markets like China, online interest in the new phone has also been muted, as cheaper local brands amp up their design and marketing. (NASDAQ:AAPL) to start selling its highly anticipated iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. The company and the USA government issued a global recall – the largest ever for a smartphone – and Samsung has said it will be at least a few weeks before they put its flagship Note 7 back on sale.
Lines of people began forming outside of the Palo Alto Apple store Thursday night in anticipation of the new iPhone hitting the shelves.
Breaking with tradition, the company will not release first-weekend sales of the iPhone 7 and 7 plus, saying the figure reflects supply than demand. Another possible factor could be Apple’s marketing strategies.
Singh opted not to go for a jet black version because he said he’d heard it’s easy to get finger smudges on them.
But Apple has not lost its shine for all customers. By morning, some 200 people were gathered in light rain to be the first customers globally to own iPhone 7s. During the online pre-order period, initial quantities of iPhone 7 plus in all finishes and iPhone 7 in jet black sold out and will not be available for walk-in customers.
