A young boy was in the back seat of a auto in a northeast Calgary garage when a man and woman up front were fatally shot in what police say appears to be a targeted, gang-related hit on Tuesday night.

“The person who phoned us basically indicated that she had been injured”. The other was dead on scene.
Police were called to the 100 block of Redstone Manor northeast at about 8 p.m. where officers found a 38-year-old man dead in the front passenger seat of a vehicle in the attached garage.
Details on the shooter are still unclear or exact cause of death.
A five-year-old boy who was also in the auto during the shooting was not hurt.
The couple’s names were to be released once autopsies were completed on Wednesday.
When police arrived, they located an injured female, although they can’t confirm if it was the same woman who called 911.
“This is very scary”, said neighbour Parm Gill. “They go to school in the morning and come back in the afternoon, I don’t know really what is happening here, I haven’t seen this kind of commotion here in four years”.
Police have not released a description of any possible suspects.
