Pep Guardiola: The quality of our players made the difference
After watching his Manchester City side continue their flawless start to the season by beating Bournemouth 4-0 on Saturday he was asked if the Blues can go on to win all four competitions.

“So I am a little bit surprised how much we are able to play at a good level”.
“He is aggressive without the ball, but especially with the ball it is clear he knows already everything, he sees absolutely everything and in front of the goal he scores and makes assists”.
“Every time he makes the right decision”.
“But to be the best, you have to win titles”. Maybe. Maybe I’m wrong. I don’t think so, guys.
“I have to be honest, it’s quick, I didn’t expect that”, the former FC Barcelona manager was quoted as saying by the Guardian on Sunday. “But the table beside, Kevin can sit there”.
His form has been instrumental in City winning eight successive games under Guardiola, eclipsing the record of seven set in the Victorian era in 1897.
“Numbers are numbers. One record will be for another person to beat”, said Guardiola.
City beat Borussia Monchengladbach 4-0 in their opening Champions League group game, but Guardiola stressed how hard it is to win the competition, with City having only once reached the semi-final stage.
“And Bournemouth were until now the best team with the ball (we have faced) – the other teams have played long balls”.
Although City appeared to win easily, despite Nolito being shown a late red card for clashing with Bournemouth right-back Adam Smith, Guardiola was full of praise for Eddie Howe’s side. After we are going to see. “They are being so criticised, and the players, and they didn’t deserve that”. “I’m really happy”, the 25-year-old told reporters.
“There is still potential to get better but every single game is a new one, starting from zero”. Wilshere conceded the free-kick which led to City’s opener and was substituted after 68 minutes.

For Bournemouth it was always likely to be a hard afternoon but Howe felt his side still should have done better and hopes lessons are learned. Bournemouth are the best team we have played in our five matches, so I am very pleased.
