Gordon is now serving a four-game suspension for the drug violations and was suspended for the entire 2015 season for violating the NFL’s drug policy.

Cleveland.com’s Adam Ferrise is reporting that the warrant was issued after Gordon allegedly failed to respond to “several” subpoenas in a paternity case.

Cleveland.com and WOIO Channel 19 in Cleveland reported that the warrant was issued August 31 after Gordon failed to respond to several subpoenas over the course of a year demanding he take a DNA test. Gordon was a star receiver at Baylor as well, before former head coach Art Briles suspended him indefinitely for failing a drug test. Christina Lockhart of Maple Heights made a complaint in juvenile court saying Gordon is the father of her 1-year-old daughter.

The Browns, the NFL, Addidas and powerful sports agent Drew Rosenhaus, who represents Gordon, were also issued subpoenas in the case.

Gordon was ordered to provide a DNA sample, and had until September 25, 2015, to do so. “Gordon never responded to them, according to court records”, Cleveland.com reported on Wednesday.
