Trump, Clinton tied in NC, new poll says

One of Donald Trump’s most brazen moves came on Friday, when the Republican presidential candidate declared at a press conference that his opponent, Hillary Clinton, was the true originator of the “birtherism” movement that claims President Barack Obama was not born in the U.S.

The renewed focus on terrorism in the electoral campaign comes as Clinton and Trump prepare for their first debate next Monday in NY.

Both presidential candidates had new poll numbers Tuesday that they could point to as momentum-changers.

He once again took credit for predicting current events, pointing to his Saturday night announcement that a bomb had caused the explosion in New York City. One out of every five likely voters said they do not support Clinton or Trump for president.

Almost 90 percent of Clinton and Trump voters said they are not likely to change their minds before the November 8 election. That was before authorities had publicly said so.

The Republican nominee has been riding on steady free media coverage for his campaign, with the majority of the voter outreach being handled by the party itself. She would keep attacking Trump and his supporters as risky and deplorable in hopes that she could scare her way into the White House.

Trump also criticized Clinton for aggressive rhetoric against the Republican nominee, which included labeling him terrorists’ “sergeant of recruitment”. “However, among white non-Hispanics Clinton’s lead over Trump is just six points”, Mark DiCamillo, director of The Field Poll, said Tuesday.

Trump also said the authorities should use “whatever lawful methods are available to obtain information” from the suspected NY and New Jersey bomber.

Hours later, Clinton made her own public statement in which she appeared to scold Trump for commenting before officials were able to determine what caused the explosion.

He says that ISIS “happened on Hillary Clinton’s watch”, and added: “the rise of ISIS is Hillary Clinton’s foreign policy legacy”.

The fourth presidential debate moderator, Chris Wallace of Fox News, is a registered Democrat in Washington, D.C., according to the District’s elections website. “Ronald Reagan was not expected to carry NY”.

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is a master of misdirection. If he’s called a bigot — with good reason — he calls Hillary Clinton one. If he’s called a liar he doubles down on that word for Clinton. He is playing American voters
