Jerick McKinnon, Matt Asiata set for 65-35 split

Here’s the ugly rundown. Rashad Jennings hurt his hand Sunday and opened the door for Vereen to rush 14 times for 42 yards in addition to his usual role in the passing game (three catches, 24 yards). Mike Zimmer didn’t rule Peterson out yesterday, and judging by Peterson’s history of playing through things I wouldn’t be surprised if he does end up playing, but odds are he will be out this week.

McKinnon was much more fantasy relevant in 2015 than Asiata. Every player on this list is owned in 50 percent or less of Yahoo! standard leagues.

It was already a rough start to the season for Peterson, who had a bad game in Week 1 at Tennessee with 19 carries for 31 yards and no catches.

Jonathan Stewart, RB, Panthers: Stewart had just five carries against the 49ers on Sunday before leaving with a hamstring injury. The rookie may have the highest ceiling of the group, Foster included, so pick him up now – and save him for later.

Carolina Panthers RB Cameron Artis-Payne: He did not get the carries last week because he was inactive. He tallied 882 yards from scrimmage that season and had 44 receptions. Artis-Payne should feature.

“We have been trying to find ways to get the young man active, and because of what we have to do on special teams and all that, we haven’t had the chance to put him active”. After a fairly clean run in the season opener, the injury bug was back with a vengance this week. He and the team’s medical staff are evaluating options on how to proceed with the injury, which could require surgery of some degree.

RB Kenyan Drake, Miami Dolphins ($5).

The takeaway there is the 9 touchdowns for Asiata.

Doug Martin, RB, Bucs: Muscle Hamster suffered a hamstring injury in the second quarter against the Cardinals. A lot of times it is about opportunity, not necessarily talent, when it comes to points scored in fantasy. As we’ve seen in the past, this offense will likely keep chugging along, so don’t overreact too much.

Anquan Boldin, WR, Lions: He reeled in his first TD with Detroit, and had another score nullified by a penalty. That doesn’t sound good.

In Week 2 against the Green Bay Packers, Peterson went down with what looked like a scary lower-leg injury that resulted in him being carried off the field. He’ll have an MRI exam on Monday.

I own Gary Barnidge in 3 separate leagues. So while Sims was not impressive last week, he might be worth a flyer.

Minnesota’s Jerick Mc Kinnon could receive a lot more playing time if Adrian Peterson’s knee injury is severe. Mc Kinnon averaged 5.2 yards per carry in 52 attempts last season
