Well, L. Lin Wood – an Atlanta-based attorney for the Ramseys – told press on Wednesday that “CBS’ false and unprofessional attacks on this young man are disgusting and revolting”.

Burke Ramsey was 9 when his 6-year-old sister JonBenet was found dead in the basement of the family’s Boulder, Colorado, home on December 26, 1996.

CBS aired a two-part, four-hour documentary about the JonBenet Ramsey murder case Sunday and Monday.

Burke initially responded to the show’s conclusions with the following statement: “In May of 1999, the Boulder District Attorney and the Boulder Police Department publicly confirmed that Burke Ramsey was not a suspect or even a possible suspect”.

“JonBenét Ramsey”, experts determined that Burke – who was nine at the time – killed JonBenét when he hit her on the head with a heavy flashlight – and that his parents later covered it up.

The girl’s parents then staged a crime scene to make it appear that an intruder was the culprit, the group of law enforcement, forensic pathologists and other experts concluded.

Wood branded CBS “corporate profit-mongers” in an interview with Reuters and said the documentary presented various “lies, misrepresentations, distortions and omissions”, although he didn’t specify exactly what these were.

“In my opinion, the Ramsey family did not want law enforcement to solve this case, and that’s why it remains unsolved”, retired Federal Bureau of Investigation profiler Jim Clemente said on the program.

Newsweek has reached out to CBS and Lin Wood for comment.
